So how might this blog work? As I understand it, you can post your thoughts in two ways. The first is by being an author, signing into blogger and clicking on "new post" from your "dashboard." Then your message will show up just like this one has. Everyone will see it when they open up the blog. The other option is to click on "comment" at the bottom of an already posted message. You do not have to be signed in to comment. The downside is that the only way people will see your comment is if they remember to read the comments for a particular message. It will not come up automatically. My suggestion would be for anyone who wants to be involved in the planning process to go ahead and email me about becoming an author who can post to the blog (as well as comment). This way we can be more organized. We can post overarching messages like Jill's initial suggestion that we work with Habitat for Humanity and then a bunch of people can comment specifically on that message at any time. Make sense? Otherwise, I think we'll end up with a long string of disjointed postings in chronological rather than topical order. And lastly, I feel a little silly saying this, but just remember that at this point anyone in the world can read our blog. Once we get going and people know how to sign in, we can opt to password protect it.
