Back to Square 1

Let's keep it simple: let's pick a weekend in the fall to reunite as old BW's and UNITE as "Call of the Woods" group that will do something significant in the Spring.

You know, maybe we could do a group rate Mexico all-inclusive (it's usually pretty cheap)....can we take Mary to Mexico once she's back?
We can meet wherever--as long as we can sip whatever "special" smoothies Nate will be making and have Kendra drive us around town (I love when you drive Kendra). When we gather in the Fall we can dedicate a morning or afternoon to planning, orchestrating, deliberating, etc. In between then Taylor can gather all sorts of information, details about BW in its new phase, and others can gather information on people past and present who want to help.

But we need to set a date first. I say we pick a date and place by the beginning of next week.
And, should it not be Texas Taylor, I'll go a different weekend for some two-stepping fun with whomever dares to venture deep in the South!

So why's Texas out?

i'm down for anywhere, anytime as long as there's enough notice.

and dig the idea to meet up sooner, and plan for something monumental later.

how about this.... everyone list weekends that are absolutely OUT (prior committments, etc) and i'll make a calendar. then once i get feedback from people, i'll let you all (not y'all, i haven't been in the bible belt that long) know which weekends are better for everyone?

if that works, then post away, and i would be more than happy to be in charge of date figuring outing :-) (i can say that, i'm an english teacher)

FYI- IF Mary is back, she will have an H-1 visa which allows her to travel freely. So she could go to Mexico.

My special smoothies usually contain Rum but lately they contain everclear as that is the only liquor I have around the house.

Whatever we decide to do, rest assured I will have some of my homemade wine around. It has improved a lot since I was making it at BW.

I am up for Texas! I am up for anywhere as long as I have enough notice to get the weekend off. Mary and I are planning to do as many road trips as we can when she gets back. Thank goodness I drive a VW diesel and get 40-45 MPG!!

So Jessie, get a date set and then I can arrange my schedule. We pretty much have groups on site every weekend and I usually work every single one. If I know a date I can request it off.

Lander brew fest?? Sounds fun! My Venture Out program backpacks the Wind River Range for 10 days. Lander looks like a cool town. I want to go there sometime without campers. Too bad the brew fest is right in the middle of summer camp!

WTF... I can't figure out how to become a blog author...so I'll post here.

Oct. 19-21 (or whatever that weekend is) works REALLY well for me, too.

We can stay on property or at my house, which could give us more places to brainstorm off property that are not bars...well, it could be like a bar...

Clearly, I am not quick enough to respond to other things as I just found the blog... but, I am in, for whatever.

Thank you to those that are organizing this event.

For the rest of you all all over the country, I am ALSO not opposed to meeting elsewhere for purely selfish fun time with you. I miss you guys a lot and am more keen about hanging out where we are now than rehashing the past...but "I luv me a good service project!"
