So, before we go delving any further into things, and calling and speaking to a person that we do not know, I feel it better if we get in contact with folks we still are in contact with who are still there. I've given JR a call and have left a message with him in regards to this, as I feel that he would be the best person to speak with from a group of individuals like ourselves. Jim (or Kim Nunn) would be the people that we would want to speak with anyways, and I'd rather have one of them as our contact as opposed to someone who none of us know (at least initially).
I definitely think that it would be in our best interest that if we want to go to the woods as a group and do a project, that it would be more meaningful if we had something in particular in mind to do. As much fun as project days were, I don't feel like driving/flying over 1000 miles to ride around in a golf cart with Brad pruning back trails, if you follow me.

I agree with doing a meaningful project in regards to trail maintenance. Maybe we could build a better trail through Fern Valley? I have seen many built up trails through wet areas on my travels.
Planting trees is cool too. Assuming the trees dont get eaten by some exotic bug or rampant tree disease, they will be there long after we DECOMPOSE, WE DECOMPOSE.
